Works Well - Best Slr Digital Camera Review

By Sarah Jackson

To be honest, if possible, I'd like to return or exchange this with other regular yet durable one. Worse is that any review articles I read from CNet, for instance, have little mentioned on these problems. This is my first digital camera and I took it backpacking at Shenandoah on the Appalachian Trail. I found it pretty easy to use overall and dependable.

So, save your money and either buy another brand or just rent an underwater camera at one of the drive shops. When I got the camera in the mail I took it with me on a fishing trip. I bought this as a fix so that I could at least take some pictures while snorkeling. Out of the box, this camera was awful. Being one of the newest of the underwater digital cameras, I had reasoned that surely the leak issues had been resolved. I bought this for snorkeling in Hawaii and on the second use, water got into it. This is my latest. The software is the same or beta for the GPS compatible models out now cause it is still in the camera settings but is grayed out.

The camera work wonderfully. I took it snorkeling twice and love the pictures and video I got.

It is easy to carry around everywhere and comes in great colors. I would recommend this camera to everyone!

Most pictures were outside. Inside quality is average, but that is why I have my Canon Rebel XTI.

I was hesitant about buying this camera but I don't regret my choice. It is hard to get used to but after playing around with it I was able to figure it out. I wanted a waterproof camera I could take while fly fishing and not worry about it getting rained on or soaked if I fell in the river. The environment this camera withstood is a testament to how good a product it is; it rained nearly every day, the temp varied each day from low 40s to mid 60s F.

I also saw the same issue with poor focusing on anyone/anything moving. Rugged Design and feel Cons: Needing to hook up to a PC to "initialize" the camera I just bought this camera at best buy in Miami on vacation. My vacation was altered by the fact that the camera didn't do what it said it could do and I will never be able to capture some of the memories I lost due to a defective product. As it stands now, Olympus has lost my patronage for any of their products in the future. So far I like it but as I read before in the reviews the zoom is definitely choppy which I am disappointed in. I took it kayaking and it took some beautiful pictures. It is great for the underwater features but other than that, I feel like it could take better pictures. Even when focused, most of the pictures come out blurry.
